CD Duplicating
Primarily utilized for smaller orders (fewer than
1000 units) this is very similar to the burn process used to undertake
CD duplicating on one’s home computer but on a much larger
scale. Our CDs, equipment and staff are the very best available
in the industry so that, although slight variances can occur from
disc to disc, the chances of this are minimized and the likelihood
of an outstanding end product is maximized.
The CD Duplicating Process:
Market demand for a simple duplicating process resulted in a revolution
in the way data was laid down. Instead of encoding with bumps and
flat areas these revolutionary new CDs (CD-R) were made with a smooth
reflective layer sitting on top of a photosensitive dye layer. A
heated or burned disc has concentrations of light applied in unique
density and intensity which take the place of traditional bumps.
This process of darkening different parts of the CD and leaving
others translucent makes it possible for a standard CD player to
read and record. A CD burner creates that digital pattern onto a
blank CD.
That’s a simple explanation of the CD duplicating process.
The result of the burned disc depends of course to an extent on
the quality of the discs burned and CD duplicating equipment.
At iDEA Media we have the best of both and the very best personnel
in the industry to undertake the process.
